Bike Tour from Château de Chantilly to Senlis

 

 

After arriving in Chantilly we'll pedal out of town, saving our visit to the château for the end of the tour. First we'll spend some time riding through villages and forests.

 

           

 

 

          

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After a pleasant ride through villages, fields and forests we'll arrive at one of our highlights for the day, the medieval town of Senlis. Senlis has been featured in several films set in the medieval epoque and if you got rid of street signs, lights and electric wires it probably wouldn't look much different than it did hundreds of years ago. It dates to Roman times and much of the Roman ramparts and later medieval ramparts still remain.

• Meeting time and train times for weekdays: On weekdays we will meet at the bike rental store at 11:25AM and take a 12:16PM train leaving Paris and arriving in Chantilly at 12:40PM. We will take a train departing from Chantilly at 5:28PM and arrive in Paris at 5:54PM.

• Meeting time and train times for Saturdays: On Saturdays we will meet at the bike rental store at 12:00PM and take a 12:49PM train leaving Paris and arriving in Chantilly at 1:12PM. We will take a train departing from Chantilly at 5:57PM and arrive in Paris at 6:23PM.

• Meeting time and train times for Sundays: On Sundays we will meet at the bike rental store at 12:15PM and take a 1:07PM train leaving Paris and arriving in Chantilly at 1:30PM. We will take a train departing from Chantilly at 5:57PM and arrive in Paris at 6:23PM.

 

• Total round trip train time: 50 minutes

 

• Touring Time on Weekdays and Saturdays: 4 hours 45 minutes from train arrival in and departure from Chantilly

• Touring Distance: 28km / 17 miles from train arrival in and departure from Chantilly

• Level of Difficulty: Easy. The topography on this ride is flat to gently rolling with no hills but rather a few inclines. This tour is suitable for novice bikers provided they can cycle the above noted distance.
