Overview of French Mystique Tours Private Bike Tours
What is included?
The price indicated for each tour is the price per group, not per person. It includes guiding services and a picnic lunch for up to three tour participants. For tours of four or more persons we will make a stop for tour participants to pick up extra lunch provisions.
What is not included?
Tour participants will be responsible for:
bike rental cost: Bike rentals cost between 20€ to 30€ per person a day. The cost is dependent on which type of bike you select. Included with the bike rental are a helmet, lock, water bottle and rain poncho if needed. If you like to ride with toe clips on the pedals these are also available for some models of bikes. Some rental bikes have rear racks and can accomodate a basket, if desired.
train ticket cost: The round trip train ticket cost per person will be provided in each tour itinerary.
Where do I get my bike and where do we meet?
Our tours use bikes rented from Allo Vélo located at 2 Rue Beauregard in Paris's second arrondissement. We will meet here at the start of each tour to pick up the bikes and then ride to a train station to depart from Paris.
Cancellations and Refunds
A full refund of your deposit will only be provided in any event where:

When a tour is canceled due to inclement weather
What if there is inclement weather?
Weather is an uncertainty and can't always be predicted more than 24 hours in advance. France has notoriously unpredictable weather so even within 24 hours forecasts are not guarantees. For this reason we will need to establish phone or e-mail contact at least 1 day prior a tour. The tours will run rain or shine. However, if it appears that we are in for a guaranteed day of non-stop pouring rain we may allow you to cancel your tour with a full refund. This is the sole decision of French Mystique Tours only. However, sometimes weather is a last minute call so always check your e-mail or phone calls before leaving your hotel/apartment in the morning.
Does it rain frequently in France?
According to weather statistics Paris has 111 rainy days a year. Generally when it rains it is not a day long event but intermittent periods of rain/showers/drizzle alternating with periods of dryness.
What to bring
Tour participants should bring a backpack to carry a water bottle and any personal items. If weather appears variable it is advisable to bring rain gear as well. Rain ponchos are provided as part of the bike rental cost but some people may prefer their own rain gear.

If you have a custom bike tour you would like to create this can be done. Perhaps you'd like to create a variation on one of our standard tours or maybe you'd like to create an entirely new trip. How/When To Pay The Deposit/Balance
A deposit of 50% of the tour price is required. This deposit is non-refundable except under the conditions previously described. The balance will be paid in cash upon meeting prior to the departure for each tour. If you don't wish to carry excess cash prior to meeting we can stop at an ATM so you may withdraw cash.
